A late-night crash in Chicago involving a McLaren sports car and a Nissan SUV has taken a tragic turn.
It appears to be a high-speed accident that unfolded around 2:42 a.m. in the Grand Crossing neighbourhood, along South Stony Island Avenue.
According to initial reports, a 64-year-old woman was travelling in the SUV when a fast-moving vehicle, believed to be a dark-coloured McLaren, collided with her at an intersection. The impact was severe, and she succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The driver of the Nissan allegedly fled, leaving behind wreckage and questions. The SUV reportedly struck a box truck, compounding the destruction.
