Ambac Financial Group, Inc. has rebranded as Octave Specialty Group, Inc. (Octave), a global specialty insurance firm, while its Everspan Group businesses will continue to operate under their existing brands.
The company will begin trading under its new ticker symbol “NYSE: OSG” on November 20th, 2025, marking the next phase of its transformation into a specialty insurance platform.
This announcement follows the sale of the company’s legacy financial guarantee business earlier in September.
Going forward, Octave’s singular focus will be on building and acquiring high-performing managing general agency (MGA) businesses across the US, UK, and Bermuda.
As part of the rebrand, the company’s holding entity will operate as Octave Specialty Group, with the entities comprising its insurance distribution division rebranded as well.
Cirrata Group now becomes Octave Partners, the company’s acquisition division. Meanwhile, Beat Capital Partners will be called Octave Ventures, its incubation division.
As mentioned, the company’s MGAs and its hybrid fronting carrier, Everspan, will continue to operate under their existing brands.

Recently, the company reported its third quarter 2025 financial reports, where its Insurance Distribution segment saw organic revenue growth of 40%, as total revenue grew by 80% to $43 million for the quarter, compared to $24 million in Q3’24.
